Proceedings of the International Conferences of the Constitutional Court Published

On Friday, June 13, proceedings of the Constitutional Court’s international conferences were published digitally. These are collections of the presentations given by participants of the conferences held in 2024, 2023 and 2022, in Latvian and in English.

The conference of 2024 “The Role of the Constitutional Courts in Concretising the Shared Values Uniting Europe” was held on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Latvia’s accession to the European Union. The findings expressed during the conference brought the message that harmonious interaction between the national constitutional identities and shared European values facilitated protection of every European’s fundamental rights. These are complementary elements that allow striking the balance in the application of national law, law of the European Union and international law.
