The President of the Constitutional Court Elected
Today, on 28 February, the election of the President of the Constitutional Court was held. Justice Aija Branta, the current Vice-President of the Constitutional Court, was unanimously elected President of the Constitutional Court.
Aija Branta came into the office of the Justice of the Constitutional Court on 25 March 2004. Prior to that she was a Judge at the Department of Criminal Cases of the Supreme Court.
