Final event of the competition of pupils’ drawings and essays at the Constitutional Court
On Thursday, 15 February, at 1 pm, the final event of the competition of drawings by pupils of 6th forms “My Satversme” and of the competition of essays by pupils of 9th and 11th forms, which were announced last September, will be held. It is dedicated to Latvia’s centenary and the 96th anniversary of the adoption of the Satversme. For the competition announced by the Constitutional Court 124 drawings were submitted in the group of 6th forms and 44 essays in the groups of 9th and 12th forms.
Authors of the best works and their teachers will attend the event dedicated to Latvia’s centenary and the 96th anniversary of the adoption of the Satversme. Speaker of the Saeima Ināra Mūrniece, President of the Constitutional Court Ineta Ziemele, Vice-president of the Constitutional Court Sanita Osipova, Justices of the Constitutional Court Aldis Laviņš, Gunārs Kusiņš, Jānis Neimanis and Artūrs Kučs, Minister for Culture Dace Melbārde, Head of the President’s Chancery Arnis Salnājs, Head of the Saeima Legal Committee Gaidis Bērziņš, Pro-rector of the Art Academy of Latvia Andris Vītoliņš, Editor of the magazine “Jurista Vārds” Dina Gailīte, Editor-in-chief of the magazine “Domuzīme” Rudīte Kalpiņa, representatives of the magazine “Ilustrētā Junioriem” will participate in the event.
