Irēna Kucina elected as the President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Latvia; Anita Rodiņa elected as the Vice-President

Today, 28 November, the elections of the President and the Vice-President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Latvia took place. Irēna Kucina was elected as the President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Latvia for a three-year term unanimously, and Anita Rodiņa was elected as the Vice-President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Latvia.

The President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Latvia presides over the hearings of the Court, organizes the work of the Court and represents the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Latvia. The Vice-President, in turn, assists the President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Latvia in fulfilling these duties and replaces the President in his absence.

The election of the President and the Vice-President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Latvia was held in an open court hearing.
