The Constitutional Court is acting responsibly and taking precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the virus and the risks for the health of its employees and visitors. Following the guidelines developed to determine the organisation of the Court’s work in different Covid-19 incidence situations, the Constitutional Court ensures the continuity of its work and continues to hear cases.

President of the Constitutional Court Sanita Osipova emphasises: “My priority at the moment is to ensure the continuity of the Court’s work and to implement all the necessary safety measures to protect the health of the justices and the Court’s staff. The Court will use the possibilities offered by technologies and work remotely as much as possible. It is important that also during the emergency situation the people feel confident that the Constitutional Court is ensuring effective and timely protection of affected rights”.

All the potential applicants, case participants and summoned persons are, as before, invited to use electronic means for communication with the Court or, alternatively, leave the documents in the post box at the Court’s entrance door. Large-volume documents can be handed over in the Court’s foyer (entrance hall), where it will also be possible to get a confirmation of their receipt. All visitors have to sanitise their hands before entering the Court building, a sanitiser will be available at the entrance door. In the foyer, face mask must be worn, and distancing observed.
