Gunārs Kusiņš will Take the Judge’s Oath

On 19 February 2014 at 14:00 Gunārs Kusiņš will take the judge’s oath and will start performing the duties of a Constitutional Court Justice. He was appointed to the office of a Justice of the Constitutional Court on 6 February of this year.

The oath by the Justice of the Constitutional Court is accepted by the President of the State. The Justice gives a solemn oath to be honest and just, loyal to the Republic of Latvia, to try to establish the truth always, never betray it and to administer justice in strict conformity with the Satversme of the Republic of Latvia and laws.

Upon Gunārs Kusiņš’ coming into office, Gunārs Kūtris’, the Justice of the Constitutional Court and the current President of the Court, mandate will expire.
